Mould

Mould are fungi species that thrive on organic matter and decompose it, preferring to roost in humid and hot places, such as cabinets, drawers, bathrooms and also in walls, clothes, etc.

Given that it can cause respiratory diseases, it is necessary to combat mould in indoor environments, which is not easy, since it reproduces through spores that are invisible to the eye and float in the air outside and inside our homes.

The mould produces allergens and, in some cases, potentially toxic substances. Inhaling or touching mould or mould spores may cause allergic reactions with symptoms such as sneezing, nasal mucus, red eyes and skin rash.

These reactions are common and can emerge immediately or slowly

In any case, and whether the individuals exposed are allergic or non-allergic, exposure to mould can irritate the eyes, skin, nose, throat and lungs. In more severe cases, it can even trigger asthma attacks.

AIRFREE® air purifiers are up to 99% efficient by destroying mould spores in the air, bacteria, viruses, ozone, allergens from dust and dust mites and other air pollutants, therefore representing a great ally in improving allergy sufferers’ quality of life.

How does it work?

It drastically reduces air allergens by incinerating microorganisms. As a result, contaminated air is dragged through the Airfree® ceramic centre and destroyed at high temperatures. This air purifying cycle is silent, requires no maintenance and is ensured by numerous tests.

FAQ

Q: I have a dehumidifier, why do I need an Airfree?

A: New mold colonies need organic material and humidity to grow.

A dehumidifier will indeed reduce the humidity level and therefore will make new colonies unlikely to grow. However, the dehumidifier will not destroy mold spores from existing mold colonies, therefore you need Airfree, which will:

a) Reduced airborne mold spores

b) Help to prevent new colonies to grow

Q: I bought a mold cleaner or hired a mold remediation company, do I need an Airfree?

A: Yes, Airfree will reduce the airborne mold spores protecting your family and making it more difficult for new colonies to develop.
